Form a summers dayby lomokev

I am still swimming in the sea even though the temperature is dipping below 5°C (41°F). Because its dark i don’t tend to take my water proof camera to swimming with me. Also because its so cold there is not enough time to bang off a roll before you have to get out. but imagine this: 2 days ago what you see in the photo was covered in ice from because of a leaking pipe on the pier. Quite surreal swimming round it i can tell you, really wish I had a camera with me.

Taken on Brighton pier

Palace Pier by FinnHopson on Flickr.

I set off to the seafront determined to find a new angle on the Brighton wheel but arrived later than I’d hoped and it was too dark for the shot I’d had in mind, so I sat on the beach in front of the wheel and got this instead. The light from the wheel helps to illuminate the breaking waves a little. I got this shot and it was too dark to get much more. Pleased with the result though.

4 minutes at F10, ISO 400 and 17mm lens.

broken down turbo on Flickr.

It was not moving it was stuck there.
