Getting wet and splashy at high tide. With my poor woman’s Hasselblad, I kind of don’t care!
Wondering attentions by lomokev
Getting rockcakes and Matilda to actually look at me is half the battle when taking a family portraits. Then I have to deal with silly faces being pulled and fighting.

I met Michal Solarski at Portrait Salon last night in London. Lovely chap and great photographer.
The Big Jump by c72 on Flickr.
Pushing the Limits. Just wanted to do something different this time. Technique: cross processing with a little color bleaching — fully inspired by analog film. It took quite some time to get this lofi sun bleached look, but it worked out nicely (i think). Note: this is not a collage. Real photo, real jump. These guys jumped about 10 meters down into the water. Pow!
Hen taking snap shot by lomokev
This is one of the perfect accidents, I was trying to get a shot of empty scene when this lady who was clearly on a hen weekend walked into shot and took a picture. You can see the shot I took before here.
This is one of the photos from a shoot where I shot Brighton, pretty much none stop for 36 hours to produce this montage. The whole thing was filmed by a film crew for O2’s YouTube channel. You can watch the film and read more about this on my blog here. You can see some of the other images I shot for the montage in this Flickr set.
On the subject of talking photos in Brighton why join m on one of my weekend photo courses? I got courses coming up in Brighton, Munich and maybe Leeds and Manchester.
36 hours in Brighton by lomokev
You can check out a zoomable version of this image on my blog and you can watch the video of me making it in the same blog post. I will post more of the individual images from this piece later.
All these photos where shot in 36 hours over one weekend while I was being filmed for a little film about me for O2s YouTube channel. I Originally made the montage from real photographic prints on the side of a beach hut in hove, but it was torn down as soon as it was completed. This is a digitally recreated version. It’s 1.8 meters square and there are 246 images in it. The photos where shot on a mix of 5D, iPhone 4s, Olympus Muj ii, Lomo LCA and Nikonos V.
While I am on the subject of talking photos over a weekend why join me on one of my weekend photo courses? I got courses coming up in Brighton, Munich and maybe Leeds and Manchester.
