Matilda is growing up fast. She is now walking and talking. She has now started to use words in combinations (only two at once). She likes dogs a lot, lady and the tramp DVD is played at least once a day!

Taken during the heat wave we had about two weeks ago. The BBC siad “temperatures in England topped those in Athens, Los Angeles and Barcelona”.

He or she is a handsome devil. And that’s a great portrait. I would love to know if the composition of the photo is the original, because it’s just about perfect.
Most of the other versions of this photo (for example, on the Guardian’s slideshow) are straightened, which makes me think this is the original. I think I prefer the jaunty angle.
